We will mainly bird the marshland of this area close to Santiago. The target species are Painted Snipe (depending on the water level), Black-headed Duck, the chilean form of Warbling Doradito who will probably be split in the future (only in breeding period), Red-garthered, Red-fronted and White-winged Coot, Many-colored Rush-tyrant, Plumbeous Rail, lots of ducks, etc...
If we are lucky, we may found the Stripe-backed Bittern !
We will also visit the dry shrubberies in the hills around the lagoon, where we will look for few chilean endemic species as Dusky-tailed Canastero, Moustached Turca, Chilean Mockingbird, and the difficult to find Chilean Tinamou.
Others species here include Austral Pygmy-owl, Plain-mantled Tit-spinetail, Green-backed Firecrown, Giant Hummingbird (in austral summer), Fire-eyed Diucon, Austral Blackbird, etc...
