Day 1. Arica-Putre. Birding near Putre usually gives White-throated Earthcreeper and Canyon Canastero.  Night in Putre.
Day 2. Day trip to Lauca National Park. Diademed Sandpiper Plover (which is easier here than at El Yeso), Puna Rhea, Puna Tinamou, 3 species Flamingo and White-tailed Shrike-Tyrant. Night in Putre.
Day 3. Additional day in Lauca National park and then drive to Arica.
Day 4. Chilean Woodstar hunt all day. Other species include Peruvian Sheartail, Chestnut-throated Seedeater and Slender-billed Finch. In the PM we look for Chilean Seaside Cinclodes on the coast.

You can continue to Tacna in Peru in PM for an evening flight to Lima or continue on our Arica-NW Argentina connection featuring Horned Coot and Rufous-backed Sierra-Finch.
